Join jeweller Alex for a one-day workshop to experience the joy of working with silver. You will design and make your own ring to take home and cherish.

Who is the Workshop Suitable for?

Design and create your own fabulous silver ring. During this workshop you get the chance to try out new skills including piercing, forming, stamping, texturing, soldering and polishing, all of which you will use to create your own unique ring.

I pride myself on creating a space that is relaxed and friendly suitable for beginners.

You will be working with tools and equipment that can be potentially hazardous I therefore ask participants to be over the age of 18.

About your Day

The workshop starts at 10am. After a cup of tea or coffee and a chat we begin the day working in copper. I will talk you though the different techniques, and you will have a chance to try out ideas and get a feel for working in metal.

When you return after lunch, it’s full steam ahead in silver, by which time I will have had chance to come round and talk to you individually about your ideas and what you would like to make.

I allow up to 5 people per workshop so I can make sure to give everyone some time and my expertise.

We will finish at approximately 4pm.

What’s Included

All silver materials and tools are provided.

Lunch is not provided, however, The Courtyard Cafe on-site serves hot and cold food . Alternatively, you can bring a packed lunch. The Park is the perfect backdrop for a picnic (weather depending), there are plenty of picnic benches around the courtyard, and in the park for you to sit back and enjoy the landscape.

We will take a short lunch break, approximately 1 hour, at 12 o’clock. There will be tea, coffee and soft drinks accessible throughout the day.
